Thomas,

Very dramatic sky here. Where is Pine Mountain exactly?

Maybe a little too much sky at the top, and maybe more foreground at the bottom would make this even better. Any other versions?

Very dramatic indeed. Beautiful shot. At first I though there was too much sky, but it's really growing on me as presented.

Thanks Richard and Bill for the comments

Richard this Pine Mountain (I think there is one in GA as well) is about 10 minutes from my house here in SE Kentucky, it runs about 120 miles from Virginia down to Pineville,KY. They are in the process of buidling a trail along the entire length of the mountain.
I have another version of this shot that I'll probably post that has less room at the top, not sure why I didn't crop this one. I was just really out experimenting with the new equipment and this presented itself

I think this one may be a little dark?

Very nice, Thomas. A tad bit dark perhaps

It's nice but it does look too dark on my monitor. :wavey:

I posted one that's just a touch brighter on ES&S this morning, you almost have to see them side by side to notice the difference, but it is brighter  I took it up a bit more but it seemed to lose something to me

I see how we rate over at IAGG! We don't get to see the repost!!

I like the contrast in the clouds, and the over all color of the sky better in the second one. Maybe you should try to layer the two, so that you can keep the contrasty sky, but with a lighter foreground.
