I don't use it all the time but when it works---it really works---best of all the "light" version is free if you can put up with their watermark on the bottom ( that you can crop out in PS)
The image on my homepage was done using it. Basically its a DOF program for used predominantly for macro, but can also be used for other subjects when light is low and you can't get to the F16-22 area.
I checked out there website some more and it looks awesome. The sample work shows how the quality improves with each new layer. I can see the use for macro work for sure.
