I never knew how beautiful these things were until now!
Did anyone else have a stormy night Monday night like we had here in western Michigan? What a lightning display!

Dave, first time I think I have ever seen a Queen Anne, unless up close. They do make a nice photo subject and this is a nice image.
I didn't see any lightning Mon. night. I guess the storm didn't move this far south. Though with the humidity up as high as it is and the somewhat stormy looking clouds out right now I may see some later this evening. I love lightning just as long as I'm not exposed someplace with my tripod in hand
We had tremendous storms. Everyone at work today was yawning from being up half the night due to the thunder and lightning. I've got a 165 lb St. Bernard whose afraid of storms. He's got to be on the bed right next to me when it storms.
Cool picture Dave.

Queen Anne's Lace can be realy pretty. It is unfortunate it is so noxious. We had some sprout up in our garden next to some Lupine, and the Lupine hasn't been the same since.
We were in Glen Arbor on Monday night, and watched the storm over the bay. It really was something. There was some beautiful light as it cleared too. I have some pictures, but I haven' gone through them all yet.

Neat closeup, Dave. I finally shot some Queen Anne's lace last night but haven't processed yet.
Yup.....storms even near the lake! One crack was so close I almost fell out of my chair as I thought for sure one of the numerous trees here would topple! Lost power for about 1.5 hours. Most lightning I have seen in years!!
