Adobe Bridge Problem

I have Adobe Photoshop CS2 loaded on my Desk Top PC and all is just fine. I recently bought a new lap top. When I load the raw files onto the laptop and try to view them with Bridge, I can read no files. It doesn't even read the metadata. However, if I try to open the file in Photoshop, all is as it should be. I have downloaded the latest Photoshop raw reader and all. As far as I can tell, I have the same set up on both the PC and the Lap Top. Both machines are running Windows XP. Does anyone have anydeas as to what I have done wrong?

Did you make sure that you loaded ACR into the proper folder? I believe it goes into Program Files/Common Files/Adobe/plug-ins/CS2/File Formats (for windows) . If you put it in the Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS2/Plug-ins/File Formats folder, ACR will only be available through Photoshop, just as you describe.
Otherwise, this sounds like a good question for the Adobe Bridge Forum

Rod,

Thanks for your response. Actually, I had loaded CameraRaw into Program Files/Common Files/Adobe/plug-ins/CS2/File Formats on both computers. I had tried to find an Adobe forum, but must have looked in all the wrong places. Thanks for the link!

I went to the Forum and now have my Adobe Bridge working on both computers! This sounds really stupid. Adobe tells you to save the old CameraRaw file elsewhere in case you need to re-install it. They just don't give any limits. On the first computer, I used a subfolder called "Save". This caused no problem. On the Laptop, I named the subfolder "Backup". This was the problem. Since you are apparently not supposed to use a subfolder to save these old files, I moved the subfolder to under Adobe instead. Now I get to few all files on both computers. Thanks for the link to solve my problem Rod.
