I'm buying an Epson 4800 in the next couple of days. I would really like to hear about any tips as to the best place to buy the printer and get all the supplies that go with it (ink, etc). Thanks for any advice.

I've heard good things about:

Some great prices on Moab paper and inks.

For Epson ink cartridges, Midwest (www.mpex.com) probably has the best prices you will find on the internet from an honest dealer. I am not sure what the K3 inks sell for, but the 4000/7600/9600 inks run $80 for the 220 ml cartridges. I would imagine the K3 inks are priced similarly. The papers are a bit cheaper than through BH, and with no shipping charges.

I live in Columbus, deal with them a lot and would have no qualms about ordering from them

Thanks everybody for your helpful tips. Actually, I've just become aware of the Canon iPF 5000. Right now it looks like the better machine. Apparently the colors are ever so slightly better, but, most of all, if you switch paper between glossy and matte, you don't have to do a lot of ink flushing and changing. I switch all the time....I would find all that changing of colors a real pain. Tim S.
