Due to circumstances with respect to life in general and work, I have been absent from CANP for quite some time, as some have noticed.
Well, things are starting to sort themselves out and thusly I am now in a position to pay more attention to those things that feed my soul: Nature, Photography, and Music.
First, I would like to say a huge "thank you" to Anil, who has tended the CANP shop in my absence! Anil, your commitment and effort here at CANP is exemplary! Thank You!
To all of our members I express my appreciation for your particpation in our group and I am looking forward to crossing paths with some of you as we revel in the wondrous diversity of California. It is really nice to see the activity and all of the very nice images! Keep up the good work!
CANP Notes:
I think our monthly "Cover Shot" contest is a winner! The images have been great! We will definitely continue with it; so please post your best!
I plan to work on the long-overdue CANP logo in the near future. It would be very helpful if the the winners would send me a copy of their winning image, so that I can start to work. If possible, I would prefer a TIFF file, since they are loss-less and can stand up better to PS work, such resampling.
Also, aside from Eric Rosen, I do not have mailing addresses for you so that I can send your goodies to you. Please send a mailing address along with your image. Thanks!
Lastly; the Sierra is finally opening up! Tioga Pass opened today! Sonora Pass is open, too. The mountains look great! So, go up there and "Get their good tidings"!

Glad to see you back Preston and look forward to your posts as well. Yep, time to hit the sierra. I'm heading to KCNP, Cedar Grove, next wed. for a few days of r&r with the family. Hope to see you in the sierra again!
