I use Raw Shooters essentials. If I convert the RAW files to TIFF, the EXIF data is there. If I resize and convert to JPEG for email or web posting, the EXIF data is lost. This problem doesn't happen if I convert directly from RAW to JPEG. I use PS 6.0 for editing and ACDSee for viewing and sorting.
How can I keep the EXIF data with the file when I convert from TIFF to JPEG? Would this happen if I were using different software?
Thanks for the response, but that's not the problem. I use "Save as" to do the conversion. But, of course, I'm using PhotoShop 6.0, not CS2.

Buck,
I use RSE and PS7, convert from RAW to TIFF, then to JPEG using "Save as" without losing the EXIF data. The only time I lost the data was when I had to use PSP, then reopened the image in PS. Is there any chance it could be in your settings?
I don't know what settings to change. When doing a 'save as' to Tiff format, it also removes most of the EXIF data. A search for EXIF in Photoshop Help turns up nothing.
How old is PS 6.0 anyway? I guess it's just time to upgrade.

Hi Buck,
You may be right regarding a needed upgrade to PS7. I did a Google search this morning regarding your problem. From what I saw, you are not the only one losing the EXIF data while using PS6 and the problem does seem to point at that version. Go for the upgrade.
