Hugh Morton died at 6:00pm tonight!

I'm sad to say that Hugh Morton of Grandfather Mountain lost his 6 month battle with cancer tonight at 6:00pm.

Sweet light always be with you, rest in peace Hugh for the battle is now over!

Certainly the passing of a great man and a good friend to photographers. This is Nature Photography Weekend at Grandfather Mountain and his passing will certainly put a damper on the weekend but I am sure he will be there in spirit.

Very big loss but hopefully an inspiration to others to balance ecology and economy.
