That stupid guy who harassed the bison in Yellowstone WAS found and arrested. Good.
Apparently, he has a long history of harassing animals and people in several National Parks.

Thanks for the update, Sandy! Great news!

Excellent. So glad to hear that. Personally, the mean-spirited part of me kinda wishes the bison had permanently solved the issue by just making the Jackass a greasy little spot on the pavement.
This guy deserved a serious case of 'hoof-in-mouth'. Hopefully, the federal court will throw the book at him.

Where's Darwin when you really need him?
Sad part in these cases - when humans are injured by there own arrogance and/or stupidity, it's usually the animal that suffers the more severe consequences.

Exactly. These encounters were mentioned on the nightly news yesterday evening. They showed a few examples including this one where at least the incidents did not have any catastrophic outcomes. One of the examples was a man wading knee deep with an iPhone at what appeared to be the McNeil River area with the annual gathering of bears feasting on jumping salmon. It could have led to a disaster but fortunately it did not.
Our local example was also shared with a man jumping a barrier very recently at the LA Zoo and slapping a hippo on it's back. Thankfully again at least no real disastrous outcome.

See the first article I posted, if you missed it, for context:

In addition, I think it's still illegal to use alcohol in an NP.
