Taken in Eastern Colorado mountains, about 8700 ft elev, dry open Ponderosa pine woodland. Weak eye ring and wing bars and pure white throat makes me guess a Dusky Flycatcher. Any thoughts?

Western wood pewee according to Merlin’s bird ID app.

I don't think it's a Western Wood-pewee because that species does not have an eye ring. I think it is an Empidonax flycatcher, but without hearing its call or seeing any of its movements, I think it is too difficult to tell.

Hi Skip,
Possibly a dusky flycatcher with consideration of the habitat where this photo was taken. . However, without a call it is highly unlikely to make a more definitive ID than Empidonax species.
