Sanderling/Black Bellied Plover?
Taken 3/10/2018 At Fort Desoto State Park, Florida. I claimed Sanderling as it appeared way too small to be a BB Plover. I thought it might be 7" max from tail to beak. A knowledgeable friend claimed BB Plover. Any ideas? PS—It seemed curious about the fish carcass, but went back to dabbing the sand.

Sanderling is correct. Note the size and shape of the bill, as well as the proportions of the body.
