Photobooks for non-pros, non-printers, etc.
There are companies that will make photobooks of your photos.  This never occurred to me until I saw a post about one called ReSnap on Facebook.  You can upload whatever photos you want, fill the pages however you want to.  Hardbound, 100 pages, with a 30% discount was $70-something dollars.  I choose glossy paper for an additional $20 and I chose removal of their logo from the back page for some nominal amount.  I know it is Christmas, but I ordered this book for me. :)  It turns out that I really love having it.  I can just sit down and look through my photos any time I want.  I've been at my daughter's house since before Thanksgiving, and she said she wishes they had one if it wasn't so expensive. Maybe Santa will be able to do it.

There are lots of companies that do this.  I don't know how the prices compare for 100 pages.  I checked one that would have been basically the same amount as the one I got, but I don't know what the paper choices were, if any.  Anyway, I know only what I've said above about this, and now I'm thinking about getting another one with more pictures in it.  It's kind of nice that somebody can have my photos someday without having to find them on the computer somewhere.

Here is a quick look at the cover and two different inside sets of pages.  (In the third picture I am wearing compression gloves because I do transcription.)  Anyway, this is just an idea for some of you if you've never thought of doing this.  My ReSnap photobook is really nice quality.  There are some companies that have a lay-flat option, which I might like better.

Nice, Barbara.  I used this kind of thing for a vacation book once (through Adorama's print service), but I don't recall the cost and I'm sure it's changed by now.  I really should do more as memorabilia, but I always forget to take the "people" pictures.

I, too, have used a similar service for a couple trips we took. We really enjoy having them. There are several print services that do a good job and are easy to find on internet or in ads in photo mags. Two things I like about them: as Dennis mentions, people photos are important, and annotations can complete the full story. I think we have had other comments about books in NPN over the years that are helpful.
