Just a heads up for Firefox users out there who might have received a latest release update that came through in the past few days. I noticed some odd things recently and my previous release of Firefox had done an automatic upgrade. I'm now at Release 57 (64bit).
As a result, and this happens every time there is a UPGRADE for my browser, I lose the Color Management Settings I've changed in the previous release. You might check if you noticed some oddities when using the latest Firefox on Win10. After making the changes once again my browser colors seem correct now.
For Windows users:
Color profiles are usually located at C: > WINDOWS > System32 > Spool > Drivers > Color.
Enable it on the Firefox advanced configuration
Type in about:config on your Firefox address bar.
Use the filter field to search for color_management.
<div>
<div>
Values that should be changed are shown in bold.
</div>
</div>
Update the following fields: gfx.color_management.display_profile
Insert the full path of your monitor profile.
gfx.color_management.mode
0 - Disable color management.
1 - Enable color management for all rendered graphics. (Recommended)
2 - Enable color management only for tagged images only. (Default)
gfx.color_management.rendering_intent
Leave it as 0, which is the default value por Perceptual rendering intent.
gfx.color_management.enablev4
Firefox 8 brings a new feature: ICC v4 profiles support. To enable it, change this variable to true.
Restart Firefox.

Paul, is this only necessary for printing or for web viewing as well?
Under certain conditions Barbara it can make a difference on web viewing. As it is browser settings it has nothing at all to do with printing any images & those color management items........

Thanks, Paul. I just updated Firefox a couple of days ago, so I'll have to check.

I can't say that I've ever noticed the Updates in a given release causing any issues, but whenever there are actual Upgrades to a new release I've had to go back and make these adjustments. Thankfully they're quick and easy to perform......
Thanks for the heads-up, Paul. I upgraded yesterday. I checked the color management items and none of mine were changed.
I will have to re-import my MS Edge bookmarks, though.
The new version appears to be faster. All I need now is faster connection to the Internet!

Also, make sure that your drivers for your graphics cards are up to date as well. I had some odd issues and updating the drivers took care of the problem.........................Jim

Good point Jim. At times the variables with regard to color management can be a real challenge. All it takes is for an update or upgrade to take place in a given software or device and the battle starts all over again......

Just curious, Jim, but which video card are you using? I am not having any issues. I am using Asus NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 and I have not updated the driver lately (I probably should).

Preston, I'm using the 745 and have had to update twice over the past 2 years or so. But, I did have some issues but cannot recall what they actually were back then. And to be honest, I'm not sure if those updates fixed my problem or some other item. But NVIDIA has had some issues over time that did require updating for I know that for sure.
