I've been trying to get info on the condition of the falls and canyons in the Columbia River Gorge.  Burn scars affecting photography?  Trail conditions?  In particular Eagle Creek.
I read today that Multnomah falls will be closed for the forseeable future.
Any info on the rest of the area will be appreciated!

Richard, I do not know about accessibility, but you can check with ODOT on computer, and there are a lot of sites. You can also call 1-503-977-ODOT (not toll free) or email: Email Ask ODOT.  Check the gorge scenic byway for closures and access to hiking trails. You can also check the Columbia River Gorge Natural Scenic Area sites also. If you haven't already sone so, Oregon has websites evoted to hiking trails in Oregon. Not sure if this helps.  Jim

Sorry Richard, I haven't been there yet.  The damage was severe but I believe most of the damage was east of Multnomah Falls.  That's also where most of the falls and trails you want to access are located.  If you go, please let the rest of us know what you find.

Virtually all the trails and access to waterfalls are closed due to the fire. Including Eagle Creek and Multnomah.

I doubt any will reopen before next spring at the earliest.
