Hi everybody,

I wanted to explain my lack of participation and express my hope to be back soon. I haven't posted or even been able to get out and shoot since last May. I have still been checking in on NPN fairly regularly and have made a few comments on photos from time to time.
The injury to my right arm last fall never really healed up correctly and my summer has been spent taking X-rays, MRI's, Physical Therapy and trying to avoid surgery. I've been on a "do not use" order from the doctors and I’m still wearing a brace. But...I'm finally seeing some improvement and hope to be able to get out to photograph soon. Bald Eagles will be arriving here in early winter and I'd like to be ready.
Just wanted to give you all an update, hopefully be back soon.

Steve

Steve, as one who has been through more then a few medical setbacks it can be challenging at times. However, keep up the positive outlook and things should improve over time. Good luck and remain at least as a site visitor here to the NPN forums and galleries as time permits......cool

Steve, best wishes for your continued recovery.  I had a both-bone forearm fracture July 1 and did have surgery with plates and screws, and I'm able to use my bird lens now, but after using it without the brace a couple of times I started wearing the brace again when I was doing photography, just because it felt a lot better and safer (my forearm is still very bruised and tender).  I don't know where your fracture is or what kind of brace you have, but you might consider wearing your brace when you shoot, if you can, even if you have permission to do so without it.  Good luck, and thank you for stopping by when you've been able to!

Hey Steve,
Sounds like its time to learn a few new tricks to get you back behind the camera by Eagle season.
Good luck and look'n forward to you posting again . . . enlightened

Steve, I am relatively new here, joined about the time you had to drop out for awhile.  I understand some of what you are going through as I have injured myself a few times as well.  One thing that helped me get back without surgery was Quantium Neorology Cold Laser Therapy.  You might look in your area and see if there is a Dr. or Chiropractor that offers this.  It might speed the recovery as well as avoid surgery.  Wishing you the best and looking forward to seeing your photos of the Bald Eagles!
