I now have the Sigma 150-600 C and think it is a great lens. Does anyone use filters such as a UV for protection or use polarizing filters on a lens this big?

Thanks for your input.

H i, Brian - I have UV filters on every lens they are available for, for protection. I am not sure this big lens has a UV filter available. My bigger Nikons have a glass cover that serves as protection.
I have used the drop-in Polarizing filter on my 300 and 500, but usually not as it slows the lens and i want as fast a shutter speed as possible for flight shots.  With the advances in photoshop, I rarely need a polarizer.
Have fun with this lens!

Brian, I have the Sigma 150-600 Sport and I use a polarizing filter on it. I got Sigma's circular polarizer from B&H. I don't use any other filters.

Brian, I put the B&W UV filter on my Sigma 150-600 Sport.  Mostly for protection.
