iMac! Thanks to all those that posted in response to my "Flame Me! Mac or PC Decision?" thread. Originally I was thinking about a dual processor/4 core workstation, until I met someone that uses Photoshop day in and day out for his job. When he found out that all I was processing was camera raw files (8 meg, maybe 16 or 22 down the road), he laughed and told me to get a nice home system with lots of fast storage and a couple gigabytes of RAM. He then recommended the 2 GHz iMac with a second 20-inch monitor. Sold!
Incidentally, he was working a second job as a Dell sales rep.
I suspect you will be delighted. One friend uses the 20" iMac to make his living (scientific illustration) and another just got his off the white truck yesterday. The latter has used solely PCs his whole career, and this is his first Mac. He calls me about every half hour to giggle and tell me all the things his will do. His funniest line so far: "All this time I though PC meant piece-of-cake. Now I know it meant perfectly crazy." He's sold, obviously.
