There is not much going on along at the L&D. The Wed report was down but on Tue. there were 35-40 eagles on the IL side in th trees. The access to the boat ramp is now open. River is still above normal and not locked down tight. I also suspect that the flooding may have dropped the number of Shad coming through. There is still more action out in the country looking for road kill. There are still eagles in the area and fun to watch just numbers are way down even from last year which was teh lowest for several years.

Maybe the milder winter has a lot to do with it too, Kendall? The Eagles may be staying farther north as long as the food supply is good up there.
Lower MI is reporting an increase in Snowy Owls, due to an increase in their numbers, and need to find other hunting grounds south of normal.
