I've been following this over at the all the analog site for a couple weeks now with a variety of thoughts passed around. Overall, B&H has been involved on the thread and they're concerned for all employees health and well being. However, they also need to keep the wheels turning too so those same employees can remain employed if they care to.
I'm totally empathetic and concerned with ANY and ALL exposure to hazardous material and environmental issues for all living beings & items on our planet. For that I would assume NYC has strong working condition regulations that must be adhered to. If not then changes are due there.
However, when issues like I don't like working long hours come up I'm suspect. Having worked for MANY years 50+ hour work weeks to make a living it's just a tough world out there and if you do not like the long hours it's time to entertain a new career. The long hours I spent was compensated with overtime early on, but once I moved to management it was just part of the job with no additional compensation.
I just spent money on a click through here at NPN with a link to B&H twice over the last few months and if it is returned for usage later I will continue to use the link. If not I will still follow the issue and buy from B&H if things sort out on a positive note. I will say, I've NEVER had a bad buy at B&H EVER.

Keith and Paul, I appreciate your weighing in! I truly hate when these issues arise, leaving me wondering what the truth is knowing how things like this become politicized. Nothing but positive experience for me as well with B&H though I have never worked for them. Hopefully we'll learn more ASAP so we can make responsible choices.

Jim: As you said: "I truly hate when these issues arise, leaving me wondering what the truth is knowing how things like this become politicized. "
My point is exactly that, you decided to remove your support for B&H from NPN without knowing the facts. That bothers me.
I will continue to use B&H as my source for photographic needs.
I think your decision to remove the B&H ads from NPN is premature. The facts on both sides of the issues are not yet fully known, and emotions on both sides are running high.
B&H is a primary source of photography tools for many of us here, and NPN has enjoyed an excellent relationship with them for a long time. Personally, I would be sad if that were to go away.
Let's give the plaintiffs and B&H the time they need to clarify and then rectify the situation before we make a rush to judgement.

We'll get it sorted out in the next few days!

It might not be p.c. to admit but this news changes nothing for me. If B&H continues to offer good pricing and deliver on time then I see no reason to change personally. I'm not going to pay more elsewhere just out of principle.
I am very much withholding judgement based on what I have read. I have been on both sides of the employer/employee fence and accusations are often not the facts. Where I work, we have had employees file claims and even win suits despite their claims not agreeing with the true facts (which, as an insider, I was privy to what actually happened). Lawyers are great at distorting fact and fiction. And insurance companies are great at settling bogus claims just to make them go away, often costing far less than fighting the claim.
With unions trying to get in the door and various claims and counter-claims, we may never know what actually transpired. Until I can learn more (if I ever do), I will continue to buy from B&H. I have had nothing be postive experiences with them and that counts for a whole lot in my book.

My thoughts, exactly. I've always gotten great service and good prices from B&H.
Same here, Preston. I have never had a bad buying experience at B&H. Ever. I will continue doing business with them until there is some documented and rational, legal evidence to the contrary, something beyond "have you stopped beating your wife yet?"

I find your actions disturbing.
