Hi Louis,

Love to find some dates to put something together. Most people I know in Northern New England are telling me the color is runing late. Not sure how that and the lack of rain will effect the colors but lets find soem dates and put something together!  I am tied up Oct 18 - 21, and I have some other objectives for October but I will hold off scheduling those until we see if we can schedule something.

Hi Jim,

Yes the dry and hot weather seems to impact timing and coloration of the foliage as a whole and we might not get the brilliant reds we are accustomed to see. I would guess that Oct 10th to the 15th would be a good time to image hunt the area. I am open for suggestions.

Louis and Jim,

Two days in the Oct 10 - 15th time frame would work for me. I can be fairly flexible on those dates so I will let other who have a tighter schedule make suggestions. I have some spots I know of in central VT so with Louis' local knowledge we should have a great two days!

I also wanted to let people know that I will be up in Acadia Oct 19th thru Oct 21st and I will be there to visit a bunch of great spots I know that are very photogenic. Some are autumn shots and other are just good shots almost any season of the year. Oct 20th has been the reference date for peak color at Acadia for many years. I have found that to be generally true. Once I make a hotel reservation I will let people know where I will be staying, but anyone who wants to have a few days in paradise is welcome to join me and a couple of other photographers who will be there with me. Let me know if you are interested and I will keep you informed as things develop.

Thanks

Jim Deasy

Hi Jim,

Let me know what day's. Acadia is very tempting, I have never photographed that area.

Hi Louis,

I will arrive in Bar Harbor around noontime on Monday the Oct 19th and will depart sometime mid day on Wednesday Oct 21. There are two others photographers who plan to be there and a few other trying to free up some time. There is lots to photograph on Mt Desert Island even without the foliage. Add in the foliage and there's lots of opportunities for great photos.

If you would like to join us that would be great!
