Some may know I am also a motorsports photographer - mostly vintage and dirt track. After working HMSA's Laguna Seca and Barber Historics earlier this year, I got set up to shoot at Mont-Tremblant Sommet des Legendes. Shooting these road courses also gets me near scenic areas and I could not help noticing the nearby Natonal Park. So I set up a condo along the south edge of the park at Lac Superiour 20 km to the east of Mont-Tremblant village. There I found quiet lake views and rounded mountains - and on one morning an amazing bit of fog. I hope to process some of those images once I fugure out what I am doing.
On the last evening there, I took the 10km drive up to the National Park to visit some waterfalls. Take bug spray for a July visit - for the 400 meters to the first waterfall I incurred an epic attack. So when I got to the 800m hike to Chutes Diable, I just added clothes and used suntan spray to partially mask my personal bug buffet. On the way to the falls, which is down a canyon handled the usual large group photo requests - until finally arriving a spectacular view of Chutes Diable - or the Devil Falls.
I got lucky here.. good time of day with amber sun still lighting the trees on top. Three stitch 12000 x 5700 pan 5DS using TS-E 24mm 1/8 sec art f/13 (2 stop ND) ISO 100. I think I need to learn to speek French now :)
