I camped out at Lake Trillium last weekend. An awesome place for lake mirror reflections with a mountin...especially before and during sunrise. I would show you some pictures, but it will be posted later. My computer does not accept the raw files from my new camera. Need to upgrade. But anyway, the rhododendrons are still blooming up at the lake along with lupine and bear grass. This looks like a good year for bear grass. A lot of it around. There are several other wild flowers blooming, but I'm not sure of the names. Also a good place for star trail photography as you're looking north to the mountain and from the camp ground area. Just posting this in case anyone needs a good place for photos.
It is hard to beat Trillium Lake both for fabulous photo ops of the lake and Mt. Hood, and just plain enjoying that we are so lucky to live in the PNW.
Thanks also for the observations on beargrass and other wildflowers. This is definitely the time of year that sharing that kind of information is really appreciated. I'm sure I'm not the only one that appreciates such reports, as we can't be everywhere all the time.
It is also one of the reasons that I continue to check in with this forum, and to renew my membership with NPN - you folks are a great resource for figuring out where to go and when.
Thanks Don! I also appreciate the update. I was at Tahklahk Lake last weekend, and it too had a lot of bear grass around. I was only able to dash up and back; I went to shoot the Milky Way. (I'll post that in ESS once I'm happy with the processing.)

Thanks for the update. Trilium is a special place for sure. Reports I'm hearing and seeing show some incredible wildflower displays all around the Mount Hood area on many of the trails. I'll be up there soon enough and can report on what I find!
