A week ago I was enjoying the solitude of Isle Royale, a journey a long-time in the making. On the morning of Memorial Day, I knew that there was a likelihood of rain and planned to get an early start on backpacking. While I had set my alarm for 6:00 am, I awoke at 5:30 and immediately saw the pink sunrise. If I'd been in the sack at 6:00, I would have missed this... :)
