Worth pursuing?

Worth pursuing?
I went down to Monument Valley for the shadow alignment since I haven't caught it the last few times. Having already shot it from the parking lot (with and without the boulders in the foreground) and from Joe's Tree, I wanted to do it from a different location. I remembered this structure from Sept 2013 & decided to try it from there. The sun disappeared before the full alignment, but I had decided that I liked where the shadow was at this point (which was fortunate because the sun disappeared immediately after!)
So, what do you think? The Mitten & shadow literally framed in the context of human habitation is interesting or I'm just stretching it & it's just "meh"?

To be honest, Monika, until I read your text I didn't realize there was a shadow on the mitten. Perhaps that part of the image would work better if the image was in color.

Here's my take. The sky is the dominant feature in this image, and the tent frame(?) is the secondary feature. Seeing the mitten formation is almost an afterthought. You might try cropping to a square that starts with both lower corners and apply Levels lightening to the very dark ground.

Howard, sorry I wasn't clear on my question. It's not about the processing of this particular image, but whether or not framing the shadow through the structure is worthwhile.

Monika, I like what you're trying to do here. It's an entirely different take from anything else I've seen from there. I'd keep at it.
