I've been meaning for a long time to put together my own web site for my best images, but have never really had the time. Well, it looks like I might finally be getting the time.

I'd like to hear any suggestions on the best looking, or easiest to use, or the cheapest sites. (Not seriously expecting there will be one site that hits all three:rolleyes:, but two out of three wouldn't be bad).

Howard, what are you looking for in a web site? Just a place to show your pictures (portfolio) or a place to sell (then, an integrated shopping cart and printing service or would you take care of the printing/selling, etc) also?

I highly recommend Photoshelter and Squarespace. I use Photoshelter for my photography site and Squarespace for my workshop site, as well as my ebook site. Both are easy to use, full-featured, reasonably priced and I think they look great.

I like SmugMug. Easy to customize. I'm grandfathered into their old prices, so I don't know how they now compare to other options.

I'm using Zenfolio for my photography site, and GoDaddy for my hiking site. Both are easy to use, but have different goals.
