Stuart, it is a very sad commentary on what is taking place all over our planet. Any attempt at offsetting the negative balance with conservation and recycling programs is immediately undermined by the "progressive thinking" types. Basically stated, the more improvements made by the masses to fix the harms, the folks who need even more gold advance in the opposite direction with a new plan to fix things.
Our state of California has tried to be a bit more environmentally conscious in the later years. However, the fix to water conservation after numerous years of severe drought is to build even more homes, and I mean everywhere. So in the end the folks who have the gold need to use it.......not always wisely either. And the answer for the masses is to conserve even more so the others with the gold can keep building and adding to the negative balance.....

These images are a true "reality show" that no one wants to see, hear about or participate. Except for the tragically sad fact that our own freakishly everyday behaviors contribute to it all. The depressing situations the scenes reveal will hopefully encourage us not to relax but carry on each choosing at least one concrete sustainable action in helping nature survive.and flourish ....and by so doing we will do the same. Thank you Stuart for posting.

Very tragic indeed. Thanks for sharing Stuart. Makes you wonder where we are headed. Are we at the point of no return?

BTW - Stuart, I left a comment on your "Review of 2014" forum entry (sorry it took so long). Tried sending an email but it bounced back. Hope all is well.
