Anxiously awaiting my annual spring trip to AZ, and trying to get a grip on the wildly changing weather here. This is from about 2 weeks ago... We had some snow the night before, and in the morning everything was socked in with dense clouds and fog. Around 10am (long after I would normally be shooting this kind of thing), the clouds started to disperse and I found myself across the street from the Garden of the Gods. I scrambled up a hill with the 300mm and 70-210, which I used to shoot this.

Bob, I like this a lot. The red rocks, snow covered trees, snow capped mt, and wispy cloud layer together nicely to present different textures and color. The DOF was handled well with your 70-210. Thanks for posting

Nice to get the warm and cool colors together. If you cropped just a little off the left side, it might help draw more attention to the Kissing Camels. Wow, you lugged that 300mm up there & didn't use it?!

Thanks Sandra!
Monika, I carried and used the 300 (and the 24-105, too!), and got some great stuff with all of them. Thanks for the cropping suggestion!
