winter impact on wildflower bloom in North Carolina

Anybody know of a resource I can contact to get input on this question? Government agency? Garden Club? Something else? Or if you have insight, great, appreciate any help

I have a workshop planned for April near Flat Rock and am concerned that this severe and prolonged winter blasting the eastern US may impact the wildflower bloom.
