Many years ago I joined NPN and participated on the various forums. I've learned a great deal from looking at the images posted here and reading the critiques. In the past I posted some of my work and got great feedback and encouragement. I decided I needed to take time out from the forum however because of a need to channel every available penny into new lens. For the last two years I've been steadily replacing my equipment with a Nikkor 14-24 (2.8), 24-70 (2.8), and 70-200 (2.8), mounted to a Nikon D700. The sacrifice came with a price however in that I was no longer able to participate as a member on NPN. Though I peeked in almost every day since my membership lapsed, I've missed the opportunity to add a comment here and there. As a Christmas gift to myself I decided to at least renew my regional membership and once again post an image and make a comment or two. I live in Utah Valley at the foot of Mt. Timpanogos. This is a favorite image of that mountain from a summer excursion earlier this year. Thank you all for the wonderful images and creative support of one another over the years. Here's to a great 2015.

I have missed you Michael! This is a very nice photo of Timp. I am somewhat infrequent around here these days, but come by every once-in-a-while. I am glad to see you again. I love the color and feel of this photo. I can almost feel myself there just by looking at it.
I hope you are enjoying your new gear!

Timp and the Wasatch range should look pretty nice right now in fresh snow. That 14-24 should be sweet. Have a great year of photography.
