A holiday greeting and a wish for everyone to have a great holiday season, and may the new year bring you happiness, success, and good health!
The photo is Nubble Light which is decorated each holiday season as shown above in a picture taken in December of 2013. Officially known as Cape Neddick Light, Nubble light as it is popularly named, is one of the more most photographed lighthouses on the Maine coast. The lighthouse sits on a very small Island (nubble) that is separated from the mainland by about 30 yards of water. This afternoon they will have the lighting ceremony to turn on the holiday lights for the 2014 season. I originally shot this image in 2001 with Canon D60 and then again last December with 1Dx. I was amazed with the improvements in the quality of the image based on better sensors and software to suppress the noise for low light exposures! 12 years of technology improvements has really helped the tools we all use to shot images!
