A question for anyone who uses one of these printers. Can these printers accept cut sheets, or are they limited to using just rolls? If they can take cut sheets, is it a rear feed and does it have to be done manually sheet by sheet?
These printers can take cut sheets up to 24" wide. The largest ones that I have used on my 7600 are 24"x36".
Unfortunately, they don't have a feeder tray and so you will have to hand feed them one by one. I have not found this to be a big deal for the following reasons.
1) It takes around 25 - 30 minutes for my printer to produce a 22x28 print.
2) I use Hahnemuhle Photo Rag for my prints and this paper is prone to scratching, therefore I wouldn't want multiple sheets to stack up one on top of the other when they are done.
My 7800 will take any cut sheets from A4 to 24" wide.
With sizes smaller than (and including) A3 it wil not print them edge to edge.
Print times on the 7800 are considerably quicker than on the 7600, an edge to edge 36x24 print takes around 20mins on the 7800 and about double that on the 7600
