Catherine and I made a trip to the Woodlawn Park Zoo a few days ago. Thought I'd share a couple. This dude was giving me the eye so I had to 'capture' him.

This Snow Leopard just looks sad. This image is heavily cropped. We had to wait quite awhile for her to come out and she stayed as far away as she could.

The Cheetah didn't look much happier than the Leopard, but this girl wasn't so shy.

The Grizzlies were fun! A few families were watching the bears who were out of the pond and a ways away. I was standing by the Otters and happened to glance over as this big old bear decided to check out the kids. He walked right up to the glass and seemed to play. The kids were fascinated. Very cool to watch.

This is a female African Half-Masked Weaver. She was tough to capture 'cause she hardly sat still and tended to fly as soon as I pointed the camera at her.

I don't remember what this guy is called but he was very entertaining. He seemed very interested in me and hung out wherever I went (in the aviary). He has beautiful coloring, especially when he flew. You can see the bright red on his wings. When he open his wings it was spectacular. I took several shots and quite a few had good focus and comp but they all have washed backgrounds. This has the best background.
