I was approached by a large company yesterday about purchasing a photo from me for their corporate offices. Apparently a company officer lives here and has seen some of my work in a store downtown. They want to use a photo as a large wall covering in their office, and possibly as part of the corporate logo.

The big question: What's a fair price to charge? I don't want to go cheap, but afraid to price myself out of the market. Any tips, guidance, suggestions?
Thanks!

The good thing is large corps expect to pay market price and don't usually attempt to dicker with you to lower your price. They do expect to be treated fairly, however. I would seek the advice of a respected commercial photographer, perhaps in the Denver area. Maybe the PPA (Professional Photographers American) in Denver could provide you with some names.

I would ask Erik Stensland or maybe Bret Edge. Erik helped me with some ideas of what to charge by inches a couple years ago and I got the job. Good luck!

ask for 2 million dollars. Then split it with me 50/50 if they fall for it

After some research, and talking to some folks, I ended up purchasing "FotoQuote" software (discounts available if you look). After some negotiations with the company (mostly concerning transferring of rights, etc), we settled on a price that everyone was happy with.
