Went up to Reflection Lakes a couple of weeks back to hopefully get a glimpse of and photograph the Aurora that was supposed to be visible that evening.
Got up there about 11:00 and stayed until 2:00. Met and hung out with Jack Graham for awhile, along with several other photogs that were set up. The Aurora never made an appearance, but standing around gazing at the moonlit mountain talking to fellow photographers and sipping hot chocolate still made it a win...
I'm not happy with my shots of the lake, but here are a few from up the road a bit...

Beautiful Joe! All 3 are excellent. The moon must have been bright to get so much exposure on the mountain and forest and not show movement in the stars. Great job!
Ditto what steve said. Rare combo of pin-point stars and well exposed mountain. Very nice.

Thanks guys. There is a bit of star movement, but it's not that noticeable. Didn't want to push the ISO too high. They're 30 second exposures. I'll try a slightly shorter exposure next time.
