Twin Lakes
I was back in Colorado for about a week (am currently in exile in Washington, DC). My girlfriend and I were up in Breckenridge and Aspen. On the way back to Denver from Aspen yesterday I was able to get a few grab shots at Twin Lake before she got bored. Had an unusual calm day and some nice reflections in the lake.

The aspens on the east side of Independence Pass are near peak, the only green is down low by the lake, most everything else is yellow. The Aspen side is still 90% green except at the highest elevations where they are mostly yellow.

Between Leadville and Copper Mountain the aspens are also peaking with most everything already yellow.

Wow, Scott that's a really nice reflection shot. Thanks for the update.

I am surprised at the lake's calm considering the time of day. My preference is to the first image for its tight look.

Thanks Kane and Doug, I tend to like the tighter shot as well, I only had about 10 minutes to shoot, didn't have my tripod, and that 11:00 AM (ish) light isn't the best, but I couldn't pass it up, even mostly just to post the conditions. This was at the northern end of the lake, when I went around to the main portion there were ripples over most of the lake with the edges and some coves calm.

That first abstract reflection is awesome! Great lines, patterns, colors... very well seen. The first and last have the classic Fricke style! Oh and the second ain't too shabby either!
