I'm Baaaaack!
:wavey:

Hey folks! I've been away for quite sometime, busy earning my living as a Real Estate Photographer. It was fun, real fun until I got so sick I couldn't do it anymore. Last April Nancy and I took a trip down to Scottsdale AZ to see the doctors at the Mayo Clinic. After 3 weeks of poking, prodding and befuddlement they came to the consensus that I have Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. It's very similar to MS. I had to retire from work as I know it. And I spend a lot of time in a wheelchair. I don't get around like I used to but I'm not "done" yet!

But don't worry about me! I just bought an Olympus OM-D E-M1!! This image is one of the first from that joy of a camera!

Great to have you back Rick! And great image as well! Love the DOF.

I've been thinking about getting into Real Estate photography for a while now. Is it a difficult field to break into, and is it lucrative?

Welcome back Rick!

Sorry to hear about your ME but congratulations on the new Olympus. I love the photo. Excellent DOF and good lighting.

Welcome back Rick, you were missed! Sorry to hear of your ME…(mouthful of alphabet soup). Glad you’re getting some traction on diagnosis. And I look forward to more photos composed with the creativity that is your ‘eye’ … unfettered. Nice shot! Mirrorless, Sony’s, Fujis….OM’s …the wave of the future. Just gimme a low light sensor, plenty of pixels and quality lenses… I be happy. Ken S

Great to see you back, Rick! And with a fine first presentation from your new camera. Beautiful detail.

I, too, am sorry to hear of your illness, but hope you have some relief by knowing what is going on. I think living in the uncertainty of not knowing what's wrong is worse than setting your sights on how to cope with what you have. Look forward to seeing you out and about and also seeing more of you here at PNWNP and NPN.

Rick, I am sorry to hear of your affliction but am glad to see you enjoying nature photography again!

Welcome back, and lovely flower. I'm sure the ME diagnosis feels life changing, but there is lots of photography to do with reduced mobility. I'm sure you will see things differently, and that will come through in your work. I'm looking forward to seeing your posts.
