For those elsewhere in the Rocky Mountains, Phoenix overnight and Vegas today got hit hard by all-time record rain. Lots of flooding including homes.
A note for anyone traveling I-15 around Nevada or Southern Utah - I-15 at MP 92 near Moapa is gone. Asphalt washed away. Expect this connection to be dead for at least the week. Workarounds through Valley of Fire and Lake Mead are possible. Route 93, Route 8, and others are also in bad shape.
No idea the mess near VoF. Moapa itself is critically close to a dam breach along the Muddy River.
Hope everyone faired well. I did get a few reports from fellow photographers in Phoenix pumping out their yards, etc.

I was watching the weather radar and saw Phx and Vegas were targeted. Not much here in Flagstaff, maybe 1/2"

A link to the St George News with plenty of pix of I-15 / Moapa from the Red Rock S&R

Doug - I think I am going by way of Flagstaff when I depart for the fall trip in just over a week :) . Even if it does "open", I am guessing controlled one-lane shared north and south for awhile. Good news is that they already had plenty of construction equipment in the area.

Holy Smokes. I knew it rained hard yesterday but had no idea. I guess I am not visiting family in St George anytime soon.

This may be the flooding event the Subway (Zion) needed to clear out all that sand in the big potholes that provides the awesome foreground.

Virgin River through Zion was at 4790 CFS yesterday, seventh highest level recorded. Sure the Subway side got whacked hard too.... so yeah, if that didn't clean the Subway.....

I-15 is partly re-open with one lane in each direction. Some restrictions for commercial traffic. More roadway gets open the week of the 22nd.
