I posted a photo in the avian gallery and it was suggested that it fit the weekly challenge and I should post it there. So I did, now it shows up in both galleries. Is this breaking a rule, should I delete it from avian and leave it in the WC? I have looked at the posting guidelines but unless I missed something I don't see where this is referenced. And how is the winner chosen, number of views? Thanks for any help!
Steve, you can post an image simultaneously in any gallery the image is appropriate for. This can easily happen when subjects for the WC cycle through over time. So, IMO, no need to delete either image, as long as they fit the category at the time. I did not look at your image yet but assume it is not an issue.
Additionally, you cannot delete any image once at least one comment has been made on the image. Only a moderator can perform that task if necessary after comments are added.
I'm not up to date on how images are selected for what is referred to as the WP or the Weekly Pick as it were. It is not based upon total reviews or comments as far as I know.
