Old Oak
I've been driving by this old oak at least once a month for the last 5 months. The last time by I told myself I'd get up early and shoot it before sunrise, and I finally did. The sky really helped this photo with the overcast and red highlight from the rising sun.

Real pretty scene, Reno. What a stately old tree above the golden grasses and a beautiful sky. Excellent.

I love all the wonderful contrasts here. The skeletal oak silhouetted against the dawn sky, the cool blues and the warm golds, the healthy oaks on the horizon and the wounded warrior that is your subject. Really fine composition.
