Good question Darren. I most of mine in Kansas but also do much in Colorado, Utah and Arizona, occasionally in Arkansas.

Just trying to generate some activity here.....
Overall our part of the country gets little attention from photographers. That is not really a bad thing as there is some great stuff to photograph here. I really like the Flint Hills in Kansas, and the Wichita Mountains in Oklahoma, and the Upper Mississippi River, and the like.
Ken, where do you go in Minnesota and Michigan? I used to spend a lot of time for work going into the LaCrosse, Wisconsin area and really love the Mississippi River bluff country there. I also visited the UP and the Porkies. Great place too.
Who else is out here in "fly over country"? By the way- I actually really like that term and living out here where the buffalo roamed.
Most of my photography is in TX/AR/UT/NM. For anyone planning a trip to AZ/CO/UT/NM, I highly recommend the photography guides by Laurent Martres..."Photographing the Southwest Volume 1 thru 3. These guides have been very helpful to me and I have them in hardcopy and e-book formats. I also use all the Tim Ernst trail guides for Arkansas photography, especially waterfalls.
Central Kansas, mostly Barton County. I rarely travel far anymore due to a lack of time, but do like to venture to western Kansas a couple of times a year. I am heading to Yellowstone with the family next week, so I am hoping they will humor me when I want to get out and shoot :). We have stops in CO, WY, and MT, but I don't know for sure what the itinerary is. I just plan to take things as they come.

Rob if you are going to be around Cheyenne on your drive I have a great detour for you. From Laramie take Hwy 130 west across the Snowy Range. You drive right past some amazing granite peaks that you normally have to backpack for 3 days to get to.

I know people can travel for big trips but what states do you do most of your photography in?
For me it is Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma for most of my photography.
How about everyone else?
BTW the image is a little day trip I did here in north Texas.

Also if you were thinking of going in from Cody consider going over the Chief Joseph and or Beartooth highways. Both are incredible drives.
Have a great trip.
