a bit late I guess. I was waiting for 645D version but decided to give up as price would be beyond limit.

Guy,

This looks like a nice entry model DSLR for anyone out there with Pentax glass. But the specs that didn't thrill me were the slow frames per second. One aspect that I liked, especially for a DSLR under $1000.00 is the "SPOT" meter. Sure wish that Canon had offered that on the 20D.

The Pentax K110 camera is almost identical to the *ist-DS and *ist-DS2 (I have both) other than the fact it has the Innovative Shake Reduction System. Now why didn't they add that feature to the *ist-DS? :frown:

Thanks for the info on this, Guy.

This is interesting. I have lenses for my old Pentax K1000. I wonder if they would work with this?

Quick answer, YES, all K mounts will work. At least thats what I have been told.

Bigger truly is better! I would seriously consider this camera *if* it was larger (I have big mitts). It's 5.1 inches wide, and the *ist is 4.9... not much bigger. I love the feel of Canon's 20D - 5.7 inches.

I'd be interested in knowing if anyone's handled it yet, and if there's a bettery grip for it.
