For those like myself who still use film products and processed them through Samy's location in Santa Barbara, CA. we will no longer have access to most of the previous services there.

As a result of their upcoming move to a smaller location they had no room for all of their processing equipment unfortunately. I received a note today with a package of processed film indicating they will only be doing standard 35mm, 120, & 220 C-41 service in the future starting in May.
So after performing a quality service for C-41, E-6, and B&W in all formats for many years they need to scale back as a result of their upcoming move.

It's my understanding they had been at that location for 10 years now and with a change on the lease they were placed in a position that required the move. :frown:

This is too bad. I used Samy's after A&I ceased processing E-6. I was always happy with Samy's services.

At this point, the only reasonable choice for us west coast film large format E-6 film users is DataChrome..

A&I still does 4x5 color neg (C-41) processing.
