Is anyone planning on trying to capture the lunar eclipse on the 15? I hope to go Monument rocks and see if I can get anything interesting. Right now the forecast is for it to be clear.

I hope to get out myself, though I will have to stay close to Great Bend because I have prior commitments in the morning. I don't know how the position of the moon this time compares to a couple of years ago, but the moon was out of position that time for a good Monument Rocks shot. I think Camel Rock was the closest formation to be in position, but I may be wrong :). Stellarium shows the moon to be SSW at eclipse, near Spica and Mars.

Thanks for posting this. While looking up the moon position in Stellarium, and comparing that to the maps in TPE shows that the moon may be above the city glow of Great Bend, or real close to it :(.
