Waterfalls in North Texas
Here are a few images of waterfalls from around Cowtown this winter.

As I write on my blog, most people go Fort Worth? Waterfalls? No way.

well the short answer is....way.

Yes, there are four waterfalls that I know of. Each one is fairly unknown and I am about the only person I know who photographs all four.

This is the Big Falls on the West Fork. About 9-10 foot drop. Only a small flow in the winter but on my website I have several when this was really flowing.

Here is our other big drop falls. This is Airfield Falls. Usually only a trickle, it really roars after a local rain.

And finally winter on the Clear Fork. The better picture is to look upstream while wading the river. Did not do it in this light but have a few sunsets from here.

There is beauty to be found everywhere if we just look. I like the third one. Nice flow all the way across.

Nice Darren-You're right I don't really think waterfalls when I think Texas.
btw-I'm planning to come for the Bluebonnet bloom. My sister lives in Frisco so I have a free hotel.
Are they late this year? And... if possible, are they predictable within a few weeks?

Thanks,
Rod

Rod , no flowers as of St Patty's day. April 10 is usually a good target date. There are some great drives around Ennis just south of Dallas. Google Ennis bluebonnet trail to find maps . I will be frequenting the area every Saturday in April.
