Nelson's Ice
I ran across this ice formation several weeks ago. Nelson owns some land and a hunting shack near the Rush River in Western Wisconsin. He has tapped into artesian wells on the place and ran piping around the property. At two dozen locations he tapped into the pipes with vertical PVC pipes. He drilled holes in the PVC in a random pattern. All winter long the water runs producing these strange ice formations.

More photos of the place can be found on my website

I love it!!!

If I had an artesian well, I'd do the same thing... :)

Neat place. Looks like you got some got some good shots. Like how you worked the area with the light direction, the backlight images are my favorite.

Love it when people create their own ice sculptures in this manner....one never knows what it's going to look like. Love this!
