Would like clarification regarding posting bird photos taken near feeders. Is it the same as baiting? I do not recall how this is handled on NPN. I have feeders in my back yard, but do not put out feed for a specific species of bird. I know this subject has come up before. Thanks for your time.

I assume the feeders are for the benefit of the birds and the enjoyment one gets in seeing the birds close up. If you happen to get a nice photo because of this, more power to you. You've been justly rewarded. On the other hand, baiting is not designed to benefit the wildlife. Whether such photos are acceptable is a decision for the moderators. At least that's one opinion.

From the About this Gallery page for the Avian Critique Gallery:

Avian Gallery - All images with birds as the main subject. Images of birds baited with seed, other non-live bait or recordings must be disclosed as such. Photos of captive birds taken at commercial game farms or photos taken using live bait are prohibited.

Bird feeders are fine, but must be disclosed.
