I picked this tidbit up from the BBC about a new computer being installed at a Univ. in the UK. The Iridis4 has 12,200 processors each of which can perform a trillion calculations per second (teraflop). The machine has a million gigabytes of disk space and 50 terabytes of memory. Should be able to handle anything in PS I would think. Only downsides are it takes up a lot of space and costs 3.2m pounds. Close to $5 million US. But you would rule your neighborhood.

That's pretty cool, but there are some absolutely insane computers out there. You have to remember that these types of computers are rack after rack of separate boxes; They're really big systems taking huge mounts of space.

The biggest currently is Tianhe-2 at the National University of Defense Technology in China. It has almost 1400 Terabytes of memory, and 48000 multicore processors (3.2 MILLION cores).
