Clipped Pheasant
In all honesty I've got dozens of photos of pheasants flying towards me, some taken with slow shutter speed (my last pheasant post) and others taken with high shutter speed (as here).
The only ones I keep are the ones showing the whole bird, but this one is an exception, it has found its way into a magazine as an index page
Funny how shooting for editorial use has now changed how I look at photos

Very nice John, Normally a clipped wing maybe seen as a negative point on a photo by some, but in case it works well. All the better for knowing it has been published.

Hi John,

Like this shot a lot and can see why you have decided to keep it. It would also be quite easy to mirror parts of the left wing and use them to create an image with both wings in.

greetings,

John might be a bit of the wing missing but the rest looks very good.
