Pewit's Nest
In mid-October my wife and I were in the Madison, Wisconsin area. A few years ago Tim Mulholland turned me on to Pewit's Nest and now it is one of my favorite stops when I'm in the Madison area. The main features of the Natural Area are a 40 foot deep gorge with Skillet creek flowing through the bottom of it. The area is surrounded by a hardwood forest which at the peak of fall color is spectacular.

Looks like you caught some nice color. Nice view with the rock texture as well.

I can see why this would be one of your favorite spots. The earth tones, reds, and yellows are a wonderful combination.
