Hedgehog
Always a lot of them about here, but rarely seen when I've got a camera with me.
Managed to get this one with when out for a walk with the 1Ds 11 and 70-200 f/2.8L IS

John your lucky to find one they are getting to be an almost rare mammal in my part of Lincolnshire, you must have been careful and down low to get this shot ,great detail on the head.

Hi John,

They do look grat, but are extremely difficult to photograph well. There is allway clutter around them. So you did well.

Cheers,
Marko

Only saw one 'hog snuffling around this year, and thinking about it, I haven't even seen that mean squashed on the road either.

Was it taken in dull/low/shadow light as the tones seem to be dark or bluish?
